Enterprises around the globe are running initiatives to migrate their IT infrastructure to the cloud, be it a SaaS, PaaS, IaaS or any other as-a-Service offering. While this is relatively easy for many applications, migrating the Identity infrastructure raises additional security and complexity considerations. Implementing DevOps practices to prepare the Identity infrastructure for a later move while Cloud practices within the organization are established can be a key enabler for the migration. DevOps practices can lower the hurdle of moving to the Cloud, minimizing stranded investments and keeping it transparent from an end-user perspective.
