Current State of AI and Its Limitations

Combined Session
Wednesday, November 27, 2019 11:00—12:00
Location: FORUM 12

“Its an Error” Is Correct for Consistency. Diving into Human and Artificial Intelligence.

It is commonly believed that words and numbers belong to different worlds. On the one hand, there are men of letters, on the other scientists. Some come from humanities studies, others from engineering studies. However, there is a special area where these two sides of our knowledge are tightly connected. A universe where words become numbers. Welcome to artificial intelligent language. We are going to dive into some details of this interaction, showing its successes and emphasizing its limits. The latter are both a challenge to improve our AI systems and a celebration of human geniality and creativity, skills that AI hardly would achieve in the near future.
