Millions of dollars and countless business hours are being spent on Know Your Customer (KYC) process by banks every year. These costs are increasing due to AML requirements. Blockchain technology can be utilized to ease this process by offering banks and FinTechs transmissible digital identities, saving time and money. Blockchain technology can improve data quality and result in better governance. There has been a buzz about KYC and blockchain for some time now but actual large scale implementations are still to be carried out.
