Identity is the heart of the digital enterprise and the digital economy as a whole. Social Networks, music streaming, online banking, shopping, education and (increasingly) healthcare - without a login, you will be excluded from digital life. Bring-your-own-identity (BYOID) services, blockchain based self sovereign identity (SSI), social login, post password technolgies such as FIDO - an increasing number of promising concepts, technologies and standards are trying to bridge the gap between an easy and seamless customer experience on the one hand, and privacy as well as secure access to digital assets on the other hand.
Anyway, the reality of Enterprise Identity & Access Management these days is more challenging then ever before. Opening the enterprise for the digital customer´s seamless and complete experience means that we have to support all these technologies and standards, making traditional approaches to identity governance more and more obsolete. Identity professionals have to shift their attention more than ever to machine-to-machine identity & API security, centralized access policy management, risk based & ML driven continuous authentication for a more granular control of resources and data - not only for administrators, but as well for customers and their personal data.
In this session, Martin Kuppinger will give an introduction into the new world of identity and moderate the following panel and all subsequent session within the enterprise identity track of EIC 2019.
