IDaaS (Identity as a Service) is increasingly becoming an alternative to traditional on premises IAM deployments. While some providers focus on delivering what on premises Identity Provisioning, Access Governance, and Identity Federation do, but as a service (we call this IDaaS B2E), others focus primarily on the employee (and sometimes customer) authentication to cloud services – what we call IDaaS SSO, due to the Single Sign-On focus of these solutions. However, we see a third group of offerings emerging in the market: Integrated solutions that serve access of all users, be it employees, business partners, or customers, to all types of services, whether they run on premises or in the cloud. Many of these services are combined with other capabilities, e.g. for collaboration. As part of the session, Martin Kuppinger also will provide an overview of the state of this emerging market, based on the new KuppingerCole Leadership Compass for IDaaS.
