This presentation is about practical and technological viewpoints of GDPR compliance in cloud installations. This applies to corporations on transition path to cloud or are thinking of implementing it. In backdrop of fast advancing technology world, businesses across the globe have to navigate their way to GDPR compliance by implementing new solutions. We will answer some fundamental questions and discuss cloud challenges faced by most - data residency requirements in EU countries, what if the cloud provider doesn't offer a local data center, storing PII data in a 3rd country on the cloud, and GDPR's expectation on cloud security? The confluence of cloud and GDPR will bring some unexpected changes in the way companies will access their own PII data.Besides understanding that we will look into - how other organizations are dealing with these complications.
