When we think about 3rd party risk we often think about it as the process of contracting with a supplier & evaluating them through a questionnaire or audit process. This is only a very small part of the risk they represent. In this session we will discuss how the business context of 3rd party identities, the business services they interact with, the level of access they are given and their behavior contribute significantly to understanding their risk. We will also discuss the approach needed to more extensively understand and mitigate 3rd party risk.
The first challenge you must solve with your IAM project is gathering the budget. But you will only get the budget if you can prove the value. Negative drivers such as audit findings don’t really help – they only will result in the minimum budget, but nothing that helps you doing IAM right in a sustainable manner.
In this session, you will learn about the positive drivers for your IAM project. Which are these drivers? How to proof them with concrete facts? How to make progress and success measurable? Concrete examples will illustrate this. The session will help you in better selling your IAM projects, instead of just relying on create fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
