The Trust Conundrum
- TYPE: Keynote DATE: Thursday, May 12, 2016 TIME: 08:50-09:10 LOCATION: AUDITORIUM
It's all too easy to pretend to be someone else, whether it's organised crime, social engineers, hackers or paedophiles. The financial impact of this impersonation runs to 100's of billions of dollars per annum. As a result business costs increase, not only because of the increasing losses, transactional friction increases as do the processes that business implements to increase their level of trust. The losers are the public, who have to trade privacy for convenience, increasingly find their data being stolen and ultimately pay the price for the losses made to the criminals. And the bad guys are winning; so clearly doing more of the same is not the solution? So what is? and what do we need to being doing differently?
