The identity management marketplace offers a number of different solutions enabling Active Directory-based single sign-on for SAP, making life for SAP endusers much easier and at the same time offering a good potential to reduce the costs of managing your IT infrastructure. In this webinar, Martin Kuppinger (Kuppinger Cole), will talk about the different concepts of SAP-SSO and why Kerberos is a real option in such an environment. Then, Jackson Shaw and Reto Bachmann (Quest Software) will present some best practices based on Quest´s solution for SAP.

Many large organizations use SAP for their critical business processes. These deployments run on different backend platforms, including UNIX and Linux. At the same time, Microsoft´s Active Directory has become the de facto standard for authentication on Windows systems and applications. For end users needing to access SAP in such organizations, this means yet another username/password combination to remember and using it every day, causing inefficiencies and increasing helpdesk workload. At the same time, each SAP system represents another identity silo wanting to be managed. Considering the sensitivity of data stored in SAP, such a silo needs strong security to not cause compliance issues, making it a particularly expensive silo.

Managing Cyber Risk in a Hybrid Multi-Cloud IT Environment

Today’s IT environments blend applications and services from multiple public cloud networks, private clouds and on-prem networks, making it difficult to view and inventory assets deployed across complex hybrid networks, and keep track of the security risks. Organizations need to find a way to improve visibility, identify and prioritize risks, and maintain cyber resiliency.
