Under the impact of the worldwide financial services crisis and the resulting recession in major Western markets have put pressure on governments to introduce new legislation to alleviate the danger of a reoccurrence. However, new oversight regulations always tend to add complexity. For example, the new US Dodd-Frank Act is 6 times the size of its predecessor, the 2002 Sarbanes Oxley Act. Responding to these new set of laws forces enterprises and organizations to improve the transparency and flexibility of their access governance procedures. In this webinar, we will explore the diverse drivers and new that are shaping the evolution of access governance strategies, as well as discussing how they can be implemented within a dynamic authorization management environment.
Access Governance for typical environments with "static authorization", for instance assigning roles to users and entitlements for specific resources and systems, is well understood by now. In fact, deploying Access Governance solutions in conjunction with provisioning infrastructure isn't all that difficult anymore. However, dynamic authorization management significantly ups the ante. How can systems make authorization decision on the fly, yet based on a complex set of rules? Can we do away with Access Control Lists altogether? And what about environments in which a central authorization system makes decisions based on a dynamic set of rules, where roles are merely one of many attributes governing the decision process?
In this webinar, KuppingerCole´s Principal Analyst Martin Kuppinger will describe the drivers and requirements behind any future-proof access governance strategy. Together with the participants he will discuss current solutions in the field of access governance and describe how they stack up against future market trends. Marco Venuti from Crossideas (former Engiweb Security) will give a detailed look at his company’s combination Access Governance and Entitlement Management solution.

Effective Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) is becoming increasingly important as digital transformation, cloud computing, and remote working increase the scope and complexity of Identity and Access Management (IAM) to new levels. But legacy role-based access control (RBAC) solutions alone are unable to meet the changing and dynamic IGA requirements of modern enterprises.
