Roland Hedberg

Roland Hedberg is an independent consultant. Roland has worked in the Research&Education community since 1987. Starting with RARE WG3 and X.500. From 1993 to 2000 did some work in the IETF chiefly with LDAP standardisation. Early 2000 (2003-4) he wrote an implementation of SAML2 in Python (pysaml2) which is still widely used and part of some OS distributions. Around 2013 Roland started working with the OpenID Connect test suite and in connection with that wrote an OIDC implementation (pyoidc) again in Python. Roland has been working in GEANT projects starting with GN2 JRA5 in 2004 and are presently engaged in GN4-2 JRA3-T3 . He lead the TF-EMC2 working group for a number of years and have been a frequent speaker at TNCs over the years. He has been a member of the SWAMID (SWEDISH ACADEMIC IDENTITY FEDERATION) team since mid 2000. Recently he wrote the first draft on how to do OpenID Connect Federations.
