Volker Wagner

Volker Wagner has been responsible for cyber security at BASF as Chief Information Security Officer since 2021. When he joined BASF in 2018, he was initially responsible for corporate security. Before joining BASF, he held various management positions at Deutsche Telekom.
In total, he has more than 25 years of management experience in various areas. Management positions in the areas of safety, finance, sales, controlling and auditing. Inspiring leader who clearly formulates his own expectations.
Volker Wagner was honorary chairman of the ASW Bundesverband (Alliance for Security in Business) from 2012 to 2023 and is a member of the BD's Cybersecurity & Economic Protection working group. In this context, his focus is on the development and implementation of security strategies for economic protection in Germany.
