Rolf von Roessing

Rolf von Roessing, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, is president of Forfa, a consultancy in Germany. He is also a retired partner and now executive advisor at KPMG Germany.

Von Roessing has been a member of ISACA since 1997. He is international vice president of ISACA, a member of the IT Governance Institute Board of Trustees, a member of the Framework Committee and is active in the German and Austrian chapters of the association. In 2005, Von Roessing was invited to join ISACA’s Global Security Management Committee and he led the workgroup for the Control Objectives for Basel II publication. He has been a member of the Framework Committee since 2009.

His main areas of work cover large international banks and insurance companies. Von Roessing has many years of experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management, covering a multitude of projects and industry sectors. He was a member of the Board of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) from 2001-2008, and held the Chair of the BCI Audit Committee from 2003-2008. He has published extensively on business continuity management, disaster recovery and security matters.
