KuppingerCole Organizes Second Consumer Identity World USA in Seattle

Wiesbaden, 13 September 2018 – For the second time the independent Analyst Company KuppingerCole organizes the Consumer Identity World USA which will take place September 19 - 21, 2018 at the Motif Hotel in Seattle, USA. Seattle is the first of three stops of the Consumer Identity World Tour, which will also be heald in Amsterdam (Oct 29-31) and Singapore (Nov 20-22).

With so many different data sources, Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) needs to be secure, clear and user-friendly at the same time. That is why the combination of Identity & Access Management and Customer-Relationship-Management continues to be a core element of any digital business. Nevertheless, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is in force from May 25, 2018, and brings new challenges for companies who deal with customers that are based in the EU. All business activities including personal data must comply with the GDPR. Not only consumer have extended rights, but the definition of what is personal data and how it can be used has also changed.

The first day of the Conference is a complimentary Pre-Conference Workshop Day where the attendees learn more about the FIDO Alliance’s open specifications for simpler and stronger authentication that will help consumers and companies reduce reliance on passwords in favor of biometrics and/or single-gesture second-factor authentication devices. Sessions will include overviews on the FIDO specifications and vision – including the newly released FIDO2 specifications that are being supported in leading browsers and operating systems as well as case studies from companies that have deployed FIDO solutions to millions of consumers worldwide.

Further, there will be a Women in Identity Breakfast on September 20 from 08:00-09:00 am where women (and men) in identity meet to bounce ideas off each other, collaborate and gain support.
