Marina Walser (born 1967) holds the position of Director Business Development, Identity & Security Management. In this role she leads the development of strategic partnerships with Consulting, Implementation and Technology Partners in EMEA. This includes the identification of potential partners, building relationships to the decision makers, setting up solid business plans and managing these partners on an EMEA level. She supports the country managers and partner executives in EMEA to on-board and enable the partners and closely works with the countries to ensure the execution of the business plans. She also leads the interlock between the countries in EMEA and the corporate functions of Product Management, Marketing and Enablement and is a spokesperson for press, analysts and at industry conferences.

From 2005 – 2008, Marina Walser built up the Identity & Security Management business at Novell Central Europe. As Director Identity & Security Management she was responsible for sales of the Novell Identity, Security and Resource Management solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, leading a specialist team of partner sales, direct sales, pre-sales and program management and supervising all business development activities in marketing, consulting and support.

Marina Walser came to Cambridge Technology Partners, which was acquired by Novell in 2001, at the start of that year. As Director of Marketing and Business Development she built up the Strategic Marketing department and developed targeted sales strategies for attracting new customers. In early 2003 Marina Walser took on the position of Head of Marketing for Novell, Cambridge Technology Partners and Silverstream and was responsible for Novell’s marketing in Germany Austria, and Switzerland. She was in charge of all communication measures, partner marketing, lead management, public and analyst relations. She also made regular appearances as a spokeswoman at various external events and represented Novell in several trade associations such as BitKom e.V. and D21.After the acquisition of SUSE LINUX in 2004, she also integrated the communication to the open source community into the marketing mix and established new tools to build credibility in this business segment.

Marina Walser obtained a degree in Business Economics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and has a Master’s degree in Executive Management. She began her career in 1992 in the Marketing department of DHL Worldwide Express in Frankfurt and Brussels. After working in various marketing fields she started to focus on interactive communication and customer relationship management (B2B). From 1998 she was Management Adviser for Strategy and Marketing at Diebold Management Consultants and was responsible for designing industry-specific e-business concepts, including for customer acquisition and management of projects.
